Invite Scrutiny
So as a leader, do you invite criticism? I was talking to an entrepreneur friend of mine and she said, well, you're writing a book about ethical leadership. Are you worried or are you vulnerable? Or are you ready for the criticism that comes with releasing a book? And I thought maybe that's the point in a way, or the difference between a leader and an ethical leader is both, both types of leaders are gonna be scrutinized.
But the ethical leader perhaps just invites that scrutiny and is willing to step up because they are grounded in the values and they're immovable, so to speak. So I think that might be the key here, is that as an ethical leader, you're willing to accept that criticism or. You're prepared for the scrutiny because most people I know that trend toward that side of the fence and are less willing to compromise in the gray areas, tend to be awful hard on themselves anyway and hold themselves to a higher standard.
So maybe that's it.
